Tell us about yourself.
Adryo: Hi everyone. My name is Adryo Rachmat. My job title is Performance & Content Marketing Specialist with EMURGO Indonesia. I’m based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
What’s your professional background?
Adryo: I have spent more than 4 years in digital marketing, and developing both online and offline brand awareness campaigns for tech-related companies.
Tell us about your journey to EMURGO and why you chose to work at EMURGO.
Adryo: I came across a job opening for a digital marketing specialist at EMURGO on LinkedIn. So I applied right away and went through the application and hiring process. After evaluating the opportunities that I had at the time, I found the position with EMURGO to have the most potential for my future as blockchain is a relatively rare industry in Indonesia and growing very rapidly. At EMURGO, I get to expand my skillset, accumulate experience in an emerging field of work, and learn new things all the time. It’s a great opportunity!
How is working at EMURGO different compared to your previous companies?
Adryo: Two things stand out. One, EMURGO has a healthy working environment for its employees with support from management, a nice office, occasional team lunches, and the ability to work remotely. Two, the entire team is very welcoming and actively helps each other meet our individual goals as well as the team’s goals.
EMURGO is a founding entity of the Cardano blockchain, one of the largest blockchain ecosystems. How has working in blockchain and Web3 benefited your career?
Adryo: As the blockchain industry is quite new, it’s such a great opportunity for employees working in blockchain and Web3 to gain specialized knowledge and skills in a quickly expanding field compared to others working in other industries. With the future becoming more digital and embracing new technologies such as blockchain, the experience and skills we attain now working in blockchain will help us to transition to living and working in an even more digital future.
Describe your best moment at EMURGO.
Adryo: There have been many, but I would say our regular team gatherings have been my favorite moment at EMURGO. Since we also work remotely, it helps to create stronger bonds with the whole team and with team collaboration.
What’s your favorite EMURGO employee perk?
Adryo: I’m very interested in the Cardano blockchain and Web3 technologies, so my favorite perk is the ability to receive Cardano ADA cryptocurrency once in a while. These opportunities also teach us more about the practical benefits of receiving and using crypto.
What advice would you give to those who want to work at EMURGO?
Adryo: It’s important to have an open mind and be keen to learn new things as blockchain and Web3 move very quickly with new developments in news and technology coming all the time.
