EMURGO – the official commercial arm of Cardano – has joined NTT Docomo’s 5G Open Partner Program. Under this program, NTT Docomo is providing a 5G partner workshop to partnered companies and organizations with the mutual strategic objective to share resources about next generation 5G networks between joined enterprises and explore potentially aligned synergies.
NTT Docomo is the largest mobile network carrier in Japan and is firmly established as a leading corporate entity in Japan.
EMURGO has joined this program to lay the groundwork for improved quality of services and provision of new services by taking advantage of 5G features such as high transmission speed, large bandwidth capacity, low latency, and connection to many terminals, and share discussion with joined enterprises about related business areas.
As the official commercial arm of Cardano and originally established in Japan, EMURGO is engaged in several active test cases exploring the potential applicability of Cardano’s third-generation blockchain to various industries, including proof of authenticity for and prevention of inaccurate supply chain management.
With consideration of potential applications of the Cardano blockchain for the supply chain space, EMURGO opted to join the Docomo 5G Open Partners Program with a view towards developing a strong resource sharing network between established enterprises and exploring further potential use cases for Cardano’s third-generation blockchain.

Under the Docomo 5G Open Partner Program, NTT Docomo is providing a 5G partner workshop to companies and organizations to share information about the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G) and allow for the exchange of opinions between partners.
