Empowering artists, musicians, and collectors on Fibo
Originally announced in December 2021, Fibo (formerly known as Fiborite) is a new Cardano NFT marketplace developed by EMURGO, the official commercial arm and a founding entity of the Cardano blockchain.
Fibo empowers artists, musicians, and collectors, by providing a simple-to-use platform to mint, buy, and sell NFTs.
Playing a powerful role in the Web3 transformation to a decentralized, blockchain-based online environment, NFTs have brought a new paradigm where artists, musicians, and brands can now directly tokenize, own, and transact their creative works via a NFT marketplace utilizing blockchain technology.
As a Cardano NFT marketplace, Fibo leverages Cardano’s third-generation and environmentally-sustainable blockchain that is fast, verifiably secure, and comes with reasonable transaction fees.
With the recent launch of Fibo’s minting features initially for genesis artists, and the minting rollout to all artists and full-feature launch including buying and selling NFTs to come in the near future, we will introduce six unique artists and their collections that will eventually be available to Fibo users in this first part of a five part genesis artists introduction blog series.

Wyre’s NFT drop “The Lion Collection” will be available in the near future on Fibo and is an expression of his musical journey and his 25 years ongoing in the music industry.
“I always strive to be a trendsetter in my music career and that made me want to venture into the NFT space. It’s definitely an exciting, new way of speaking artistically while enabling your fans to own a piece of your art. Just like music, NFTs are a very unique way of expressing oneself, telling stories, and passing messages.” – Wyre
