EMURGO, the commercial and venture arm of the Cardano project, had a very productive month to start 2019. EMURGO participated in two major international blockchain conferences: Binance Conference in Singapore and Japan Blockchain Conference in Japan. Meanwhile, EMURGO made a major announcement regarding a strategic investment into leading digital merchant bank Y2X as the anchor investor. Y2X is the leading digitally-friendly merchant and investment bank, helping entrepreneurs raise capital for expansion through Securities Token Offerings and other means. Cardano will become the protocol of choice for Y2X and its portfolio firms, especially in the field of regulated STOs, therefore providing an increased value add to ADA holders.
We were also thrilled to receive fantastic feedback from our community about the Cardano ecosystem, our recently released Yoroi Wallet, and our new EMURGO rebranding efforts.
Over time, we’ve been getting more and more questions from the community asking us, “How can I get hired by EMURGO? How can I contribute to the development of Cardano? In this 5-minute video, Florian takes everyone through a part of EMURGO’s new, hip and modern office located in the Akasaka business district in the heart of Tokyo. He shows off our cool event area where future meetups and networking events for the blockchain community (more specifically the Cardano community) will be hosted.
What kind of people does EMURGO hire?
EMURGO drives the adoption of the Cardano blockchain and adds value to ADA holders by building, investing in and advising in projects or organizations that adopt Cardano into their ecosystem. EMURGO is the official commercial arm of Cardano and our mission is to build a global Cardano. As such, there are several positions open in the Corporate Administration and R&D departments. EMURGO looks for highly motivated people with the right attitude. This is the most important element. Additionally, we prefer prospective employees with a background in the following industries: blockchain/cryptocurrency, digital marketing, public relations, SEO, copywriting, consulting, and business development. The blockchain industry as a whole is still evolving and we envision Cardano as a key player in the space for years to come. Thus, we are looking for people who can grow with EMURGO, are quick learners, and motivated to work together as a team. And of course, any potential hiree must be passionate about Cardano!
