Online shopping has never been more rewarding for Yoroi Wallet and ADA users.
With the release of Yoroi Wallet’s version 5.6.0 for desktop extension, desktop users have the opportunity to receive ADA cashback shopping rewards in their wallet through a technical integration with Bring.
By simply navigating to a tab within the wallet dashboard, this update allows Yoroi users to shop at 16,000 online retailers, including household brand names, and earn ADA rewards from purchases.
To demonstrate and guide users on how to activate and use this “cashback” feature, this blog will list the necessary steps. If you have already upgraded to or downloaded this latest version, you can start with Step 2 below.
Step 1: Upgrade to Yoroi Wallet for Desktop v5.6.0. or Later
First, go to the Settings tab in your Yoroi desktop extension and click on “General” at the top.
Scroll down to check your wallet version. It should be version 5.6.0. or later.
Also, be sure to check that the “Cashback rewards wallet” listed under “General” is the wallet in which you want to receive shopping rewards.
Step 2: Access the List of Participating Retailers
With this version of Yoroi, there is a new “Cashback” tab in the wallet dashboard, as seen below. This is where you can find a comprehensive list of all the online retailers that are a part of the ADA cashback program through Bring.
Currently, 16,000+ online shopping sites give ADA as a “cashback” reward with completed purchases. The list automatically adjusts according to your location, showing them only the shopping deals relevant to their region. Additionally, they are sorted by shopping categories.
By clicking on the category buttons, the list automatically updates, showing all the shopping brand options within the category. This can speed up the search and enable you to get “cashback” rewards more efficiently through shopping at your preferred brands.
Next, on top of the list of retailers, you can find your “cashback” tracker.
Step 3: How to Activate ADA “Cashback” Rewards
The “Cashback” tab
The easiest way to activate rewards is from the “Cashback” tab. Once a desired retailer has been identified, you can click on its icon. Then, a pop-up window will give further details, including rewards percentages and certain exceptions.
You can click on “START SHOPPING” to then proceed to the retailer’s website. Once there, you can search for desired shopping items. It may take up to 48 hours for the “Cashback” to then be visible within Yoroi.
From Chrome/Edge browser
You may also activate “Cashback” directly from your Edge or Chrome browser (Provided your Yoroi desktop extension is installed and up to date). Accessing any partner website will trigger the activation pop-up. Click on “LET’S GO” to see some more details about the offer and then activate rewards for that specific retailer.
Step 4: Claim Cashback Rewards and View History
Next, you can also view your accumulated shopping rewards and claim them. It can take up to 45 days to receive ADA cashback rewards, but the menu allows you to track them easily. Once at least 13 ADA is accumulated, you can claim them from the menu. At this point, it becomes part of your Yoroi Wallet balance.
